So I graduated a week and 4 days ago

here's a picture from Prom

and my car was in it's fifth accident yesterday, a deer hit me when I was going 75 on the highway

The deer ran up from the median and hit me on the side. The window shattered and the deer went up over the back of the car so the back light is busted. Somehow I only got cut on my ear and my hand, but I'm fine. The glass was everywhere and I swallowed a little bit but I was so lucky. The door on my side didn't work and I couldn't crawl over to the passengers side because of the glass at my feet and on my back and everywhere so I called the police. They came and helped me. My Dad's in Wyoming and my Mom wasn't answering so I drove home. I was 40 minutes from home and I had to drive without a seatbelt because it was broken. It was a dumb thing to do but I wanted to shower and get the glass out of my hair and to calm down. Besides everytime a big truck passed me ( I pulled over to the shoulder) the glass would blow in my face. I am so thankful that another car wasn't beside me when it happened and that I am alive.

But the week before

Israel is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I went to an ethnic festival saturday and had green tea ice cream, cucumber water & baklava! mmmmm :)

sometimes at night i just sit outside and make up stories about all the people that walk by. one time there was a couple holding hands, and he kissed her forehead, kind of in mid-step, and i made up a history for them.

my handwritten journal is becoming a novel. since i've been grounded so long i write in it all the time

the river is my favorite place now , but i haven't been able to go down there in awhile.

when i was little i can remember never being inside. i was always playing chinese tag, and hide and go seek, and flashlight tag. i miss that.

i hate wearing socks that aren't the low, ankle cut.

i use the word and too much.

i know how i want my house to be someday. i want it to have a big porch, shutters, and a ton of windows. i've always loved windows and big kitchens. i want to decorate the bedrooms in corals, sea foam greens, and turquoise. or totally opposite, i want marble and all stainless steel.

i love summer. i truly don't ever want this season to end.

i don't feel my age. but i don't feel any other age, either.

i have a tendency to get jealous very easily. i hate that.

when i was younger, my dad built my sisters and i a huge playhouse. i loved that playhouse. we had one of those fake little kitchen sets in it, and my neighbor hoarded stray cats so we would always play with the cats and stay up in that playhouse. we would spend hours in there. it was our own little world. when we moved i remember being so upset and begging my parents to haul it with us haha. we came back to visit our old neighborhood one day to find that our beloved playhouse was ruined. i was so angry. so at our new house, my dad built us another one. i was too old to play in it by then but it was great for sleepovers :) but the same thing happened-once we moved it was torn down. we spent weeks slaving away building and painting, and they just destroyed it. it's sad.

it's funny how you can talk to someone you used to be close with but haven't talked to in over a year or two, and it seems as though nothing has changed.

i wish i was still in elementary school. it's weird how getting older does nothing but make me want to go back in time.

one of the best days of my life was at my uncle's house in New Hampshire. i can remember everything about that day. we set off fireworks by the lake, and went out in these olive green paddle boats till we reached the tiny island in the middle. we took turns jumping off the cliffs into the frigid water and i felt so alive. for the first time i understood why someone would live in such seclusion. it was wonderful. i don't wish to go back in time, i just sometimes wish right now lived up to that. but i am happy in this moment.

i look up to my cousin Jocelyne, more than anybody else in my family. she's been living in Oregon for 7 years. she used to go train hopping, and saw the world for 2 years. then she finally settled down. her & her boyfriend grow their own crops out in the middle of nowhere. they don't have running water or anything, they just live off the land. they seem completely happy and i think thats beautiful.

i could stare at the stars forever. i get lost in them so easily.

i've always found comfort in the nighttime.

i can't wait for the oya festival!

i've always sworn that love is enough. i think that makes me naive.

lately, i've been imagining where i am going to be in ten years. and not knowing is okay. i hope i am content. that's all i really want out of life.

it's called "Silks" and we hang this really long piece of silk from the ceiling and then do flips on it and stuff. We practiced this way to climb up on the silk so that you look presentable to the audience and then a foot knot where you tie the silk around your right foot using your left. It's so harddddd because if you don't do it right then it hurts like a son of a gun and I have bruises on my ankle and rugburns on my legs from sliding down too fast. oh then we learned this trick called the Mermaid which is when you pull yourself through the fabric and do this twisty thing and then swing on it and shiiiiiiiet. baha

its fun stuff !

I finally asked for a raise! haha
My Dance recital was on sunday
I went to see Animal Collective!!!
I didn't get the raise because there's so much theft going on at work they say they can't give me a raise

There have been so many times we almost moved since we came to Kansas

I don't really talk about it because I know it will always pass and it's just my parents bluffing

last year when we actually went to Indiana to pick out a house tho, that scared me shitless

I was so fucking pissed at my parents for making me move -AGAIN
I felt betrayed

and It took a lot to finally forgive them for that

we talked about moving to random states after that but nothing serious

But last month we had our house on the market

a freaking for sale sign was outside and we were having open houses like crazy

It was really going to happen, no joke

My Dad quit his job and started working in Boston. He was gonna work there for a few months and then transfer to MD. I was going to actually move back !
I was so confused and didn't know what to feel at first.

For the first year I was here in Kansas that's all I wished for, to be able to move back and go back home

I tried really hard and I did have tons of great friends but it wasn't the same and I would've moved back in a heartbeat to be honest.

Now I am completely adjusted out here. I was so torn at the thought of moving back. I was mad as hell at my parents for making me move my fucking senior year. They thought they could redeem themselves and make up for uprooting us the first time. It took me forever to fully adjust here because I had been living in the same town all my life and then we moved 21 hours away, out of the blue. I hated them for making us move to Kansas.

But another part of me was so happy that since we were going back I would be able to graduate with people I've went to school with for 9 years. People I always pictured myself graduating with.

But it would be so hard to say goodbye to people here too so I was confused and angry with my parents.

Then my Dad got fired and so the part of me that wanted to move back was crushed. I let myself get my hopes up for nothing.

I didn't tell hardly anyone about this because I was so mixed up about everything and how I felt.

Looking back on sophmore year, I was still so attatched to my Maryland friends and they were the people I was calling every night and saving up money to go visit. I hated it here !!!! I wanted to move back so bad

This year I lost touch with most of them and started relying on my Kansas friends more, and letting myself adjust here and stuff.

My heart has been in two places for awhile now

and it's hard

my dad's been gone for about a month now
he started a new job
and so he's in Boston
he'll be traveling alot more

He came home for a few days of spring break back in march. We drove to Colorado

moving senior year is gonna be hard

I didn't think we really were gonna move because there's always been talk but we've never actually done anything about it
well we've been having open houses for a couple weeks and it's really happening

Tessa freaked when she saw the for sale sign

48 days till summer

then goodbye kansas

CO was beautiful.
The 13+ hour drive was worth it

I pleaded with my mom every day to let me snoboard but she wouldn't even think about it.
I was so pissed!
